For kids heading back to school, having the right backpack and supplies can be a big deal and for the fourth year in a row, a group of local sponsors have provided the goods for kids short of resources. The Back to School Backpack Project is a collaboration between Caerus[Care-Us] Oil and Gas (formerly Anadarko), Wal-Mart, and the Vernal Area Chamber of Commerce. The group delivered 60 total backpacks along with supplies and back to school items on Wednesday to the Uintah School District, Women’s Shelter, Turning Point Shelter, and Northeastern Counseling. The project is designed to assist children who may not have adequate school supplies.
