AVWSID Announces Increased Rates Due To Drought Conditions

Ashley Valley Water & Sewer Improvement District has provided information on a rate increase related to drought conditions that will apply to June usage and will be active throughout the summer. Details have been provided on the District’s website, stating, “On June 4th, 2025, the District Board of Trustees held a special public rate hearing at 6 p.m. During that meeting the board and attendees listened to a presentation discussing water rights, drought conditions, water conservation needs, and two new Water Conservation Rate schedules. The rate implementation is based on verifiable triggers, and those triggers determine which rate is charged. The current drought conditions have already triggered Water Conservation Rate 2. Please refer to that rate when estimating your new billings.” District water customers are asked to please limit outdoor watering to avoid higher water bills. Without major reductions, mandatory outdoor restrictions may follow. The sample billing chart and water rate calculator is available on www.AshleyWaterSewerUT.gov/water-conservation-rates-approved
