UDOT Update on Vernal Main Street Construction
The Utah Department of Transportation provided an update on work underway on Highway 40: Starting July 26th, UDOT will be resurfacing Main Street in Vernal from 700 West to 500 East. This work will include painting, installing road messages and is expected to take up to four weeks to complete.

We all know that seat belts save lives but Utah Highway Patrol is seeing an increase in fatalities in car crashes involving unbuckled travelers from other states. According to a Utah DPS press release, between 2017 and 2020, there were 78 deaths on Utah highways involving unbuckled people traveling from another state.

In a review of the success of the Independence Day Block Party, the Vernal Chamber shared that over 2,500 people gathered on July 2nd in downtown Vernal to celebrate and unite with an evening of great entertainment.
