Highway 40 was closed for nearly 5 hours on Monday after an accident west of Vernal. The accident took place near milepost 138 on Highway 40 on May 16th at approximately 6:55 pm.

Rio Grande Pacific Corporation announced on Friday that it has selected the engineering and construction firms for the final engineering and construction of the Uinta Basin Railway. AECOM, the number 1 engineering firm worldwide, will do the final engineering design and Skanska-WW Clyde Joint Venture will do the construction of the railway, excluding the tunnels.
