The Utah Field House, more commonly referred to as the Dinosaur Museum, was recently visited by paleontology graduate students from Adelphi University in New York. Stephen Finch and Riley Sombath traveled to Vernal to go over some of the museum’s collections for their studies. Riley is studying Allosaurus growth rates, and Stephen is studying the tooth replacement rate in Abydosaurus and other sauropods. They ended up taking several museum specimens to the Ashley Regional Medical Center for CT scanning. Dinosaur National Monument shared pictures of the young scholars on their Facebook page stating with excitement, “Stay tuned for more on Riley’s and Stephen’s work in the future!”
