A Fire Danger Alert has been issued locally. Ashley National Forest announced that the local forest area has entered very high fire danger. “While the Forest has not implemented fire restrictions at this time, many of the surrounding areas have,” shares the announcement. “If you build a campfire, do not leave it unattended. Remember to drown your fire with water, stir, drown again, and feel to make sure it is cold to the touch. A fire is not considered to be out until you can safely touch it with your hand.” If you witness a wildfire or are concerned by dangerous behaviors, call 911.
