The Flaming Gorge Ranger District of the Ashley National Forest have announced that they have opened a few gates into the Uintas. Forest Road 093 – Death Valley, Forest Road 218 – Sheep Creek Geological Loop, and Forest Road 221 for access into Browne Lake are now open. Roads to Long Park Reservoir, Spirit Lake, Deep Creek, and Dowd Mountain remain CLOSED. The Sheep Creek Geological Loop is open for access on the TOP side while the lower portion is closed from the Carmel Campground to Palisade Memorial Park for road construction, which is ongoing Monday to Friday. Officials also urge all to please be aware that there are NO turnarounds at the bottom of the loop near Palisade Memorial Park. There remains mud and snow conditions so caution is advised.
