A local graffiti artist was arrested this month after being tied to multiple cases of vandalism. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, a person entered the fenced and locked area of the baseball diamonds in the Vernal City Park during a night in February and painted multiple brick dugout walls, some with spray paint and some rolled on, indicating a considerable amount of time spent. Investigators were assigned another case of graffiti in March at a local business where bathroom stall walls had been spray painted, including the same signature with the letters ERA. 37-year-old Vincent Scott Webb was identified as the suspect in that case. Because Webb was on parole with AP&P, a home visit was conducted during which multiple items of evidence were located tied to these and other graffiti cases. The initials ERA were indicated to be an acronym for ‘Everyone Respects Art’. Webb was arrested and is charged with 3rd Degree Felony Graffiti and Misdemeanor Criminal Trespass.
