Roosevelt City has proven once again its commitment to offering exciting community events with activities for all ages. The Autumn Fest held this month was an absolute success. For the second year, the sky above Roosevelt was an extra magical sight thanks to the hot air balloons. “This year we had 12 hot air balloon pilots for the event that included 2 morning flights and an evening glow,” shares Roosevelt City PIO Edwin Butterfield. “People all over Roosevelt and the surrounding area came out to watch them take flight. We had many people send their photos to Roosevelt City’s social media accounts sharing in their excitement of seeing the balloons.” Vanessa Oakes, the event coordinator and member of the Roosevelt Arts, Park, and Recreation Committee, put in extra time planning so Autumn Fest included local vendors, a variety of activities, great food, and live music. And if you thought this year was fun, Vanessa says she can’t wait for the event to return next year and that it will be the best one yet!
