Annual Electronics Recycling Event Underway

Certified destruction of data on computers and devices is not easy to come by but a window of opportunity is now open. The Vernal Chamber Conservation Committee is holding their annual electronics recycling event. Electronics can be dropped off for recycling for free at the Vernal Chamber Office and at TriCounty Health Department locations. All items recycled will include certified destruction of all data. Accepted items include batteries, computers, laptops, network devices, office machines, printers, and telephones, among others. In year’s past the list excluded cathode ray tube televisions and computer monitors due to additional costs. Tube televisions and monitors are now accepted because the recycling company has dropped the extra fee. Items can be dropped off during business hours at either the Vernal Chamber Office or either TriCounty Health location.
