During the FBLA national’s closing ceremony in San Antonio, Texas, Altamont’s Ethan Abegglen and Braxton Hyde were named ninth place in graphic design. Over 13,000 students were in attendance from across the United States, even including select countries such as China and Hungary. “We were competing against an enormous amount of other teams,” marvel Abegglen and Hyde. “When we were talking to the other winners backstage, we found out that every other team came from a school with numbers far above our own. A team from little Altamont beating out teams like that is amazing.” These two are the first in Altamont’s FBLA history to make being on stage at the national convention, and the school hopes to see many more follow. Congratulations Ethan Abegglen and Braxton Hyde – your hard work paid off!
