An alleged DUI offender was arrested in Duchesne City last week. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, an officer responded to a report of a possible drunk driver and upon arriving to the area, found a 2008 Ford Escape that had collided with a construction sweeper in a construction zone. A “Road Closed” sign was lying flat, having seemingly been driven over by the Ford. The officer also noted that the collision shattered a water line that was spewing water. The officer looked through the shattered rear window and could see an adult female in the Ford’s driver’s seat. The driver’s door was pinned so the driver exited the vehicle through the passenger door. The driver had trouble maintaining her balance. Field sobriety testing and a breath test were performed resulting in arrest. 38-year-old Tashina Marie Jacquez has been charged with 3rd Degree Felony DUI, among other misdemeanor charges.
