The Duchesne County Special Olympics law enforcement torch run had a record turnout on Thursday. There were around 50 Special Olympians and about that many more officers, family, friends and family services representatives. Officers were from Roosevelt Police Department, Bureau of Indian Affairs PD, Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office, and Utah Highway Patrol. Officer Pete Butcher once again organized the event and did a great job coordinating things, shares Roosevelt Police Chief Rick Harrison. The Officers and entire community wish good luck to the Special Olympians in their track and field events!
