Please share some love this Valentine’s Day with local seniors by gathering friends and family to create generic homemade Valentine’s cards as part of ‘Cards 4 Kids @ Heart.’ The ‘Cards 4 Kids @ Heart’ project is organized each year by KLCY’s morning show host Amy Richards in loving memory of her Grandma. “The last thing I received from [my Grandma] was a handwritten card,” shares Amy. “I never had a chance to send her one back before she passed, and I know in my heart she would have loved one from me.” With that fire in her heart and full of love for the seniors in her life, Amy has created an annual Valentine’s tradition to coordinate the cause of making homemade cards to be delivered to the seniors in the Uintah Basin. The deadline to drop off the homemade cards is Monday, February 10th at 5pm. Drop off locations in Vernal this year includes Realty One Group Signature, Downtown Auto Group and the KLCY/Fox studio on North Vernal Avenue. Drop off locations in Roosevelt are Subway and Kim’s Cafe. The Valentine’s cards donated will be personally delivered by KLCY’s Amy Richards and volunteers on Valentine’s Day.
