Alexis Earl Tribute Plaque On Display At Roosevelt Driver License Division

If you’ve visited the Roosevelt Driver License Division in recent weeks you likely noticed a new tribute plaque, honoring a Roosevelt woman who said “Yes” to organ donation. Utah based nonprofit DonorConnect collaborated with the family of Alexis Earl, who was killed in an automobile accident on June 9th, 1990, just 3 weeks after she graduated from Union High School. Alexis’ family was present at the recent unveiling of her tribute plaque in Roosevelt. Her brother, sister, and parents each spoke. Among her mother’s remarks, Wendy Earl said, “In the Roosevelt City Cemetery, there is a monument to her death. We hope this plaque will become a reminder of her life and the fact that Alexis truly lives on in 4 other people who live because of her desire to give the Gift of Life to others. Alexis leaves a legacy of selflessness, generosity, faith, love and service to our family, her community and all those who know and remember her. May this plaque be a place where people rushing in their busy lives, will pause for a moment and remember not only Alexis but the people they love and how precious life is. May we all CHOOSE to remember what a GIFT LIFE is to us each and every day. May we CHOOSE to be like Alexis.” Next time you have to visit the Roosevelt Driver License Division, take a moment to view the tribute to Alexis Earl and consider the cause she represents.
