Additional Warrant Issued in Roosevelt Gang Violence Case

A warrant for a fourth person charged in a case of gang violence in Roosevelt has been issued. A warrant for 19-year-old Landon James Nez has been added to three others already charged with kidnapping and aggravated assault. The first to be arrested in the case was 22-year-old Sky Gardner who was arrested for events, labeled as gang activity, that took place on February 22nd when Roosevelt Police were dispatched to a possible kidnapping at 150 North 100 East. According to court documents, the encounter included the kidnapping of a woman who was taped with Duct tape and a gun was placed in her mouth multiple times. The trigger was pulled several times while two bullets were in the gun. The woman was then put into the crawl space under the home. The woman was later pulled out, threatened not to tell the cops and was struck in the mouth with the gun, cutting her lip and breaking some teeth. Later the woman was able to escape. The woman went to the UBMC ER and was treated for facial fractures. Sky Gardner was arrested and charged with 1st Degree Felony Aggravated Kidnapping and 2nd Degree Aggravated Assault. Warrants were also issued for Crystal Rose Gardner on February 28th and Ashley Tapoof Brooks on March 1st, who have also been charged with kidnapping and aggravated assault. A warrant for the arrest of Landon Nez was issued on March 8th.
