Additional Patrols for DUI and Seatbelt Enforcement

Uintah County Sheriff’s Office takes the safety of the community as a whole seriously and has recently increased their enforcement patrols. According to the Uintah County Sheriff’s Office, deputies have stepped up on impairment enforcement over the last few weeks. St. Patty’s Day is always a time when extra patrols are out but the increased patrols also have to do with the fact that warmer weather has more people getting out and, in some cases, getting into trouble. There have also been additional nighttime seatbelt enforcement patrols. “The use of the seatbelt doesn’t change from day to night,” shares the Sheriff’s Office. “The law is there to save lives regardless if it is day or night.” Thankfully, the Basin has a good compliance rate with seatbelts.
