Additional child torture charges were filed this week against a Ballard man with a long history of domestic violence. 37-year-old Emmette Cesspooch was arrested in May following an alleged incident in which he stabbed his son in the ribs with a screwdriver. In that incident he was charged with two counts of 3rd Degree Felony Aggravated Assault and Misdemeanor Threat of Violence. He has been held without bail having allegedly made multiple statements that he would kill his family if released from jail. The charges filed this week on Tuesday include 1st Degree Felony Child Torture, 3rd Degree Felony Tampering with a Witness, and Misdemeanor Threat of Violence. The Probable Cause Statement says that “on or about the summer of 2018 to May 5, 2026, in Uintah County, Emmette Cordell Cesspooch, having care and custody of the minor child victim, intentionally and knowingly inflicted upon the child serious injuries in an exceptionally cruel or exceptionally depraved manner and as part of a course of conduct over a prolonged period of time by repeatedly striking the child with pliers, a socket wrench extension, a crescent wrench, a torch, and other objects, causing contusions to the left shoulder, upper arm, and back, a black eye, split lip, and head lacerations with bleeding. On multiple occasions Emmette Cesspooch threatened to kill the child and the child’s family if the child spoke to law enforcement or if Emmette were arrested. Emmette Cesspooch directed the child to provide false information to medical providers and investigators and to withhold truthful information to prevent an official investigation or proceeding.” Tuesday’s charges are from just one case of at least 4 now open against Emmette Cesspooch.
