A traffic accident in a Roosevelt parking lot ended in an arrest for DUI on Saturday afternoon. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, officers were called to a traffic accident in the Davis Food and Drug parking lot where a store employee reported that a driver of a black Ford Focus had pulled in and hit a black Ford F150, then backed up, moved into a parking stall, and went into the store. While speaking with the driver of the Ford Focus, officers noted that she was having a hard time standing up without falling over and they noted the odor of alcohol allegedly coming from her breath. Field sobriety testing was attempted but not much could be performed because of the lack of balance. 57-year-old Russhell Lee Sorensen was placed under arrest for the offenses of DUI and Failing to Comply with Accident Duties.
