The Vernal Regional Airport is among a handful of airports in Utah that will receive funds through the Airport Infrastructure portion of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. Simply put this law is providing $15 billion dollars in funding for airport-related projects.  “The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law has given us a once-in-a-generation opportunity to build safer and more sustainable airports that connect individuals to jobs and communities to the world,” shares U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg. “With this new funding, urban, regional and rural airports across the country now can get to work on projects that have waited for years, modernizing their infrastructure and building a better America.” Utah was awarded over $32 million dollars in funding. Of that, about $1 million dollars is awarded to the Vernal Regional Airport.
