Now is the time to get to work crafting your pitch for that great product or business idea you have! The second annual Rise & Thrive Pitch Contest is planned for this spring. “This year’s event will build on the success of last year’s event where 31 contestants participated,” shares Vernal City Manager Quinn Bennion. “The Pitch Contest is organized by the Innovation Hub to encourage business development and entrepreneurism.” The first place business concept is awarded $12,000 dollars to jump start their business. Trisha Sorensen, the 2021 winner, opened ‘Market on Main’ in downtown Vernal last summer after her pitch of an indoor farmer’s market. The application will be due the second week of February and the event is scheduled for March 9th. For more information, visit vernalinnovationhub.com.
