Last week’s storm has closed down some roads in Dinosaur National Monument. The Harpers Corner Road on the Colorado side of the monument is open for the first 4 miles to Plug Hat Butte but Harpers Corner Road is currently closed past Plug Hat Butte. It is anticipated to reopen to the junction with County Road 16 and possibly to the junction with the Echo Park Road early this week, depending on changing conditions and snow clearing operations. The Cub Creek Road on the Utah side of the monument is open for the first 8 miles, including clear access to the Quarry Visitor Center and Exhibit Hall. The Cub Creek Road is closed two miles from its end, so visitors who wish to see Josie’s Cabin or the Cub Creek Petroglyphs would need to walk on the unpaved section of the road.
