Project updates were presented at a recent Duchesne County Commission meeting.
Mountain Home Road was closed in October as work was complete. A representative from Civco Engineering reported to the Commissioners that the road is now open and they are done working for the year. They plan to start back up in 2022 after Memorial Day weekend. At that time the road will be closed for up to 2 and a half weeks. During the same Commission meeting, Darrel Gillman with the Duchesne Conservation District presented before and after pictures of completed projects, including Harding Ditch in Neola and the Dry Gulch Irrigation projects. Harding Ditch was said to be very old with major safety issues including a culvert under the road that could collapse at any time. The project installed a new structure and new culvert. The Dry Gulch project added a self-cleaning screen over water-lines to filter out debris.
