Are you feeling lucky? If you’re a river enthusiast that has dreamed of pulling a private permit to float the rivers within Dinosaur National Monument then it would be a great time to have some extra luck. National Park Service shares that the lottery is open and it’s the time to apply for your permit to float the Green River or Yampa River through the monument. Permits are required to float the Green River from the Gates of Lodore, the Yampa River from Deerlodge Park, or the daily section through Split Mountain. “Boating permits are limited to protect the natural and cultural resources and leave the river canyons unimpaired for future boaters,” shares National Park Service. “Rules and regulations have been put in place to assure that all travelers on the river will have a safe, peaceful, and memorable trip. Permits for multi-day and single-day trips are made available to the public through a lottery.” Apply for the permit lottery at https://www.recreation.gov/permits/250014 any time between December 1st, 2021 and January 31, 2022 for the chance of a lifetime!
