For many, fall is synonymous with hunting and forest officials want all to know the rules while on the Forest. Among the information to know is an agreement that has to do with gated areas. “Through an agreement with the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources, the Ashley National Forest has closed the gates to Greens Draw and Bowden Draw in advance of the General Season Rifle Elk hunt,” shares Ashley National Forest. “These closures were designed to provide a non-motorized environment for deer and elk during the general season hunts.” The closure will last until after calving and fawning season next summer.
