COVID-19 Transmission Index and Update (9/23-9/29)

As of Thursday, September 23rd, TriCounty Health Department reported 7,045 total COVID-19 cases in the tri-county area to date, an increase of 99 new cases from the day before. According to Thursday’s data, there are currently 1,169 active cases. Over the past seven days the tri-county area has seen 46 new COVID-19 related hospitalizations and 4 new COVID-19 related deaths. The COVID-19 Transmission Index reports Duchesne County and Uintah County at the High Transmission Index Level and Daggett County at the Low Level. Uintah County’s 7-day average percent positivity was 22 percent and there were 451 cases in the past 14 days, Duchesne County was 18 percent with 329 cases, and Daggett County was 43 percent with 11 cases.
