Craig Man Turns Self In On Attempted Murger Charge

A Craig man is in the Moffat County Jail after turning himself in this week. 31-year-old Justin Smith had been charged with 2nd degree Attempted Murder related to a July 20th encounter. A report in the Craig Daily Press explains that Smith is alleged to have attacked a man with what witnesses described as a small knife. The man identified Smith as his assailant. It was believed the attacker, Smith, was in an altered state of mind, possibly due to drugs. Records show that Smith booked himself into Moffat County Jail on Monday. Smith has a hearing scheduled in court for Thursday.
