Tonight is Poker Night at the Elk’s Lodge in Vernal and all the fun will be supporting a very important cause. September 10th is World Suicide Prevention Day and the proceeds from tonight will go to local suicide prevention efforts in coordination with the annual ‘Out of the Darkness’ Walk coming up September 25th at the Colton Pavilion. Families and groups often have t-shirts made in memory of a lost loved one to wear during the Walk. It’s a way to remember loved ones and bring a hard conversation to light. Poker Night starts tonight at the Elks Lodge at 7:00pm and the Walk is happening September 25th starting at 8:00am. Register online at www.afsp.org/vernal or just show up.
