In May the Vernal Innovation Hub hosted an exciting business speed pitch competition but what has become of the winner? Well as of today you can see for yourself. Trisha Sorenson was declared the grand prize winner of cash and other perks to launch her dream of opening her own consignment bakery store and that dream is now a reality. The Grand Opening for ‘Market on Main’ is today from 11am to 6pm. Located at 14 West Main Street in Vernal, ‘Market on Main’ provides “store front” space to local vendors in an indoor farmers market style. While the last few months have been a whirlwind, Sorenson couldn’t be more thrilled with the result. “It has been amazing to see total strangers come together to create a community of artists and craftsmen,” shares Sorenson. “There has been endless support from everyone involved and looking on. It makes you believe in the world and the goodness out there.” Today’s Grand Opening runs 11am to 6pm and will have fun giveaways and live music from this year’s ‘Alive After Five’ winner along with other surprises. ‘Market on Main’ is open Tuesday through Friday 11 to 6 and Saturday 9 to 3.
