A suspect is at large after an attempted shooting that allegedly took place on the morning of June 28th. Gephardt Daily shared that Utah Highway Patrol reports that “at about 5 a.m., a red semi was traveling eastbound on US-40 at mile post 48 near Strawberry Reservoir. The vehicle was being followed by a silver SUV that is similar to a Honda CRV or Hyundai Santa Fe. When those vehicles reached a section with two eastbound lanes, they both passed a slower-moving vehicle.” The SUV then pulled next to the traveling semi and three shots were allegedly fired at the semi driver. The witness report shared on Facebook states that the silver Honda Pilot or Hyundai Santa Fe style SUV was driven by a light skinned male with dark hair that pulled alongside the semi pulling a hazardous material load. The shooting blew out the side window and caused other damage but did not hit the semi driver. Anyone with information can call Utah Highway Patrol at 801-887-3800.
