Duchesne County Deputy Kori Reed was honored for his service to Duchesne County and the sheriff’s office at this week’s County Commission meeting. The Sheriff’s Office shares that Reed began working for Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office in May of 2019 as a reserve Corrections officer. In November 2020, Kori hired on with the Jail as a full-time corrections officer. In his short time with the County, Kori has effectively learned, understood, and implemented the policies and procedures of Duchesne County Jail. In a recent critical incident in the Jail, Kori handled the situation with bravery as well as exhibited critical thinking skills under great stress. He has been an example to others and his positive attitude and kindness is something to be admired. He is well-liked and respected by his peers, is punctual and dependable; and willing to work for others when called upon.
