High school winter sports have kicked off and it has been going well. Uintah School District posted to their Facebook some clarifications concerning ticketing procedures. To match UHSAA guidelines only two tickets per participant are available to be purchased through the Uintah High School events page. It is being asked that those attending in person be the parent or the guardian of an athlete or participant in the event. If a parent or guardian cannot attend, please do not give the tickets to others. Each athlete is allowed two guests only and preferably the parents. In situations where parents are divorced there can be a second issuance of tickets if the athletic office should be contacted so that it is reflected on the list. “Since we are high risk, we have to limit the spectators or we don’t get to play,” explains the District. “If our numbers improve, and the health department changes our status, we will loosen restrictions. Please contact the athletic office with any concerns…Please understand our priority is to stay in school and stay competing and performing, so these guidelines are necessary to continue our winter activities.” The most recent school district case count reported 8 total confirmed cases at Uintah High School in the past 14 days. The total confirmed cases district wide in the past 14 days is 22.
