Amazingly and thankfully no one was injured during an incident on Thursday when an intoxicated man began firing rounds in his Roosevelt home, several of which went through the wall into his neighbor’s home. 34-year-old Scott Rueuben Cesspooch was arrested on December 10th for the offenses of Intoxication, Reckless Endangerment, Criminal Mischief, and Carrying a Dangerous Weapon Under the Influence of Alcohol or Drugs. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, police were dispatched and encountered Cesspooch holding a silver pistol which he willingly surrendered. Cesspooch told police he was trying to stop people from kidnapping a girl and while discussing with police stated that he had been drinking and “was tripping out.” When police entered his residence they found “a lot of bullet casings” and “holes in the walls and doors of the apartment.” Cesspooch told police that he had fired the pistol several times inside the apartment. “Bullet holes were located in a neighbor’s apartment and in the wall outside the apartment near the electric box.” Thankfully, the neighbor whose home had been fired upon was not home at the time of the shooting. Cesspooch was arrested and booked into Duchesne County Jail.
