September 30th marks the last day individuals are able to fill out the Census and the public is being reminded that it will have a huge impact on the counties and towns in the Uintah Basin. Roosevelt City highlighted three specific things that the Census data is used for every single day. The data affects business recruiting as businesses will look at population data to decide where to open. The Census will have huge implications to the grant applications as it determines if qualifications are met for funds to build sidewalks, fix roads, and much more. Finally, tax credits for local businesses are rewarded in part because of Census data. Help the communities of the Uintah Basin by filling out the Census at www.my2020census.gov before the end of the month.
