Harmful Cyanobacterial Bloom at Flaming Gorge Reservoir

by | Aug 26, 2020 | News | 0 comments

A recreational use advisory has been issued for Flaming Gorge Reservoir by the Wyoming Department of Health. Harmful cyanobacterial bloom, also known as harmful algal blooms and blue-green algae, can cause health risks for people and animals. Lakes and reservoirs under a recreational use advisory are not closed since HCBs may only be present in certain areas of the waterbody and conditions can change frequently. Expect the advisory will remain in place until the bloom is fully dissipated.
