It is important to recognize amazing accomplishments, especially in difficult times like this. It is even more important to recognize the miracles that happen in our midst. Lula Beth Bowden was diagnosed with stage 2 rare kidney cancer called Wilms at three years old in March 2019. Lula finished her last chemo treatment on August 7th. She will have a scan on the 28th and then will get to ring the cancer free bell. To celebrate, those that wish to show their support can take part in a drive thru event for Lula. On Friday, August 28th park your car at the Vernal Middle School at the parking lot by the gyms. Be prepared to cheer and wave. You can have posters, decorate your car, whatever is safe and appropriate as Lula Beth and her family drives thru. The drive thru is scheduled for 6:30pm but those wishing to participate are asked to be parked by 6:15pm.
