Vernal Teen Outreach Program Builds Community Garden at TriCounty Health

The youth of the Vernal Teen Outreach Program (TOP) have big hearts and working hands. The group spent their Saturday building planter boxes and planting a garden behind TriCounty Health Department’s Vernal location with the hope that it can provide healthy delicious food to locals. “This is a great community project,” shares Health Promotion Division Director Jake Isaacson. “The health department plans to provide fresh produce from this garden to our clients, come harvest time.” The Teen Outreach Program encourages positive development, healthy lifestyles, and community involvement. Based on the success of their Saturday service project, they are hitting those goals out of the park. Great job to the youth of the Vernal Teen Outreach Program!
