Most Uintah School District employees will be trying out a new work environment starting today as a work from home option was announced on Wednesday. “Based on President Trump’s recommendations Tuesday night, and on information from the CDC and Utah Gov. Gary Herbert, we are putting a plan in place that will allow most employees to work from home beginning tomorrow, March 19th,” shared Superintendent Dr. Rick Woodford. “We have identified critical employees who will need to continue to work at district facilities at this time. These include cooks, custodians, maintenance workers, principals and the superintendent…Additionally, each school and the district office will have at least one secretary scheduled to work on site during business hours. At this time, all other employees – including teachers – will have the option to work from home…Teachers can choose to work at their school, but must work alone in their classroom. Teachers who choose to work from home, can come into their schools to pick up teaching resources, make copies, and accomplish other essential functions…With this plan, we will be imposing some strong directives to promote social distancing.” The full message is posted on the Uintah School District Facebook page.
