Precautions are being taken after an alleged student’s threat to bring a gun to Union High School on Wednesday. According to an announcement from the Duchesne County School District, district officials were made aware of the possible threat early Wednesday morning. “The threat was reported to have been made via Snapchat,” shares the District. “The district was not able to verify the credibility of the threat, but responds to all threats of this nature as though they were serious. Union High School has not been placed on lockdown, but there is a heightened law enforcement presence at the school and multiple students are being interviewed in connection with these events.” Law enforcement will remain in the school throughout the day and the school district says they will inform the public of any change in the status of the situation. No names related to the possible threat will be released because they are all minors.
