The local version of an amazing national event is kicking off its 6th annual celebration of recovery tonight. The Vernal City Recovery Day Coalition is made up of the local voices for recovery that declare ‘Together We Are Stronger.’ “Recovery Days is an opportunity for individuals in recovery to celebrate their recovery,” shares event coordinator Deb Prisbey. “Everyone gets to mingle and enjoy a day of celebration and hope.” Friday night things kick off with speakers from 5 to 7pm followed by live music until 11pm. Saturday starts with the annual walk at 9am starting on Main Street in downtown Vernal, followed by softball starting at 11am. All are invited and everything is free, including free food all day long. Individuals and teams are still invited to sign up to play softball by calling 435-219-9962.
