An unusual spring and summer has led to higher levels of water, a little flooding and plenty of fast currents. It falls upon the Uintah County Search and Rescue to be ready for any circumstance, which can be quite varied when the landscape of the Basin is considered. To be sure they are truly ready for anything, members of the search and rescue recently held their swift water training. The unit went to Dinosaur National Monument and practiced rescues in areas that had fast moving waters as they present new challenges when it comes to saving lives.
