Though we come from small towns and rural communities our heart for civic duty is just as giving as any state in the union. Daggett County has several openings on boards, committees and volunteer positions that they are asking residents to consider. There are five positions on the Board of Adjustments and three positions on the Museum Board and Volunteers. The Museum Board meets monthly on the 2nd Monday of each month at noon and continues to expand the buildings available and add new exhibits. If you’re interested in helping or even if you have items that could make great displays, contact the Clerk-Treasurer’s Office at 435-784-3154. The Board of Adjustment currently meets when needed, not having a regular schedule. The main duty of the board is to hear and decide on appeals and variances of choices made by the Planning Commission. Residents are asked to put their best foot of service forward and volunteer.
