The Vernal City Council met on Wednesday, August 5, to consider several agreements, infrastructure projects, and operational items supporting the City’s ongoing work. The Council approved the following: the White House Academy lease, Resolution 2026-07 amending the Business License Fee Schedule, the 500 South Intersection Study with Sunrise Engineering, the geotechnical services agreement for Community Block Phase 1, the surveying services agreement with Sunrise Engineering for Community Block Phase 1, the contract for engineering services with Jones and DeMille Engineering for the Major Roadway Rehabilitation Project, and Change Order #3 with Condie Construction for work on the 3500 West transmission line. The Council also reviewed the costs and benefits of chip seal compared to other roadway improvement options and discussed the purpose of geotechnical services for the Community Block project.
