The BLM Vernal Field Office has announced several approvals this week. Approval has been given for the Wonsits Valley Temporary Lay-flat Water Pipeline. The right-of-way will be amended for Koda Uinta LLC to install temporary surface lay-flat waterlines to transfer water for completion operations on fourteen locations on Tribal Trust surface estate. The project location is the borrow ditch along 0.7 mile of Harmston’s Hole, an existing Uintah County-claimed road. Approval was also given for the T Tops 2 Natural Gas Wells for applicant Koda GNB LLC. Finally, approval was given for the Goslin-Bender Mountain Vegetation Treatments under which the BLM authorized 3,307 acres of aerial herbicide application targeting cheatgrass and 2,312 acres of chainsaw lop and scatter targeting pinyon-juniper encroachment. The project location includes lands on Goslin and Bender Mountains about 60 miles north of Vernal near the three corners of Utah, Wyoming and Colorado in Daggett County.
