A fire north of Roosevelt was quickly contained on Wednesday. The Uintah Basin Communication Center alerted the public in the morning that dispatch was aware of the fire off Highway 121 north of Roosevelt and that fire crews were on scene. Utah Fire Info listed the new start as the Yurt Fire and that it reached 0.1 acres. Thankfully it was quickly contained. With the dry conditions the risk of wildfire is especially high. All are reminded to avoid areas where fire crews are responding and working.
