All the best BBQ goodies will be served for a very good cause this Sunday at the Annual Uintah Basin Shrine BBQ. This is the event’s 68th anniversary. “All the money goes to Shriners Hospital in Salt Lake City so kids from the Basin can get world class medical treatment for free,” shares charity event organizer Brian Gorum. “If they can’t take care of their needs here at that hospital then we fly them to any hospital in the world to take care of them.” There are 22 Shriners hospitals and the organization has been around for over 100 years. The charity BBQ is at the Colton Pavilion from noon to 5pm on August 9th. The cost is $12 a plate. Kids 8 and under eat free.
