Another wildfire is burning in western Colorado. The Big Gulch Fire is burning in the area of Moffat County Road 3 and County Road 106. The Moffat County Sheriff’s Office shared on Monday that the fire reached approximately 1,500 acres and was 0% contained. Road closures were enacted, including Moffat County Road 3 at County Road 106 and 108; and Moffat County Road 5 at County Road 17. The response to the Big Gulch Fire includes personnel and equipment from the United States Wildland Fire Services, Moffat County Sheriff’s Office Wildland Fire Crews, Craig Fire and Rescue, Moffat County Road and Bridge, and Yampa Valley Electric Association. Motorists are asked to obey all road closure signs and avoid the area.
