Those mourning an unthinkable tragedy that took place when a family was caught in a flash flood last week include family and friends in the Uintah Basin. Provo Fire Captain Spencer Long, his wife Katrina, and their three sons Reid, Thayne, and Gage were killed in a flash flood in Wayne County near the Sunglow Campground. Spencer is the son of Devan and Wendi Long of Vernal. A GoFundMe has been established to support Katrina and Spencer’s daughter Lydia during this heartbreaking time. The funds will contribute to funeral costs and Lydia’s housing, counseling, and daily living expenses. The GoFundMe is listed under the name ‘Support Lydia After Tragic Loss’. You can also find the link with this story on the Basin Now socials and website. Evans Family Media adds our condolences to all mourning this heartbreaking loss of life.
