One of the favorite parts of celebrating Independence Day is the flyover of F-35 fighter jets from Utah’s 419th Fighter Wing and Team Hill. The flyover will include the Uintah Basin but you need to be prepared to watch the sky earlier than the usual parade times. The official schedule released by the 419th Fighter Wing and 151st Wing shows the flyover hitting Neola at 8:59am and Vernal at 9:03am on July 4th. The cities on the official flyover route are the ones who officially registered to be on the route but obviously those looking to the sky along the path through eastern Utah will also be gifted with the experience so start looking to the sky before 9am. With the America 250th Anniversary celebrations, the 419th Fighter Wing shared that this is a historic year with the flyover covering an unprecedented number of communities making for a tight schedule. Be sure to be in a good spot before 9am and look to the sky to experience the flyover this year. Happy Independence Day to all!
