BLM Approves Nine ‘Applications For Permit To Drill’ In Uintah County

The Bureau of Land Management Vernal Field Office has issued an Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Lestrange 24-1-722 Well Pad. The official signed a decision record under which the BLM will approve nine ‘Applications for Permit to Drill’ authorizing the applicant, Middle Fork Energy Uinta LLC, to drill gas wells. The EA analyzed construction of a well pad with associated access roads, pipelines, and a powerline and drilling of an additional well in the future for a total of ten. The project location is in Uintah County, approximately 20 miles southeast of Vernal. The decision applies to the BLM-administered lands. The BLM decision record can be found at eplanning.blm.gov
